How to get to Poznań?
By plane - Ławica Airport is located 7km from the city center, in the vicinity of the route leading to the major city points and next to the road Poznań - Berlin. From the city airport there are regular flights to Copenhagen, Dortmund, Frankfurt, Hannover, Koeln, Munich, Warsaw and Zurich.
By train - Eurocity trains from Berlin take three hours as does the train from Warsaw. There are convenient rail connections with all major towns and cities in Poland. All trains coming to Poznań stop at Poznań Main Raliway Station (Poznań Główny). The railway station is located in the city center, jst next to Poznań International Fair venue.
What to see in Poznań?
Stary Rynek (The Old Market Square) and its surroundings are among the most interesting places to see in Poznań. The Renaissance town hall, old houses, charming side streets, numerous museums, monuments, cafes, restaurants and people walking around - all of them create the unique atmosphere of the place.
Ostrów Tumski (The Cathedral Island Ostrów Tumski) is an island there one thousand years ago the history of Poland began. This is also where the residence of first polish kings was located. At Ostrów Tumski you can find one of the most stunning cathedrals in Poland.
Cytadela (The Citadel) is the largest park in Poznań offering excellent area for a jog, stroll, spending your spare time far from city rush though almost in the city center.
Malta lake is an artificial lake with one of the most modern regatta courses in Europe. Additionally, the greatest attraction of the southern shore of the lake is a year-round artificial ski slope and a summer tobogan run.
Stary Browar (Old Brewery) - a city within a city, where commerce interwines with art, history with the present time and peculiarity with everyday life. Shopping arcades adjoin the Art Courtyard, which promotes events, gigs, exhibitions as well as films.
